Brent Williams founded Antilles Financial Group for a borrower that neither Jamaican nor U.S. banks serve particularly well: Jamaicans who built their careers and credit in the United States and want to own a home in Jamaica.
Over three decades at major U.S. financial institutions he built and led lending businesses at national scale. Most recently he served as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Banking Officer, recruited to reposition a commercial banking platform for national growth, where he stood up three new markets and a treasury team and sat on the bank’s executive committee.
Before that he was Executive Vice President and Division Head of Commercial and Corporate Banking at a $95B institution, responsible for $16B of commitments, 250 professionals and about $230MM of revenue, reporting to the chief executive as a member of the executive council. He built that bank’s national corporate banking business from the ground up to $6B of commitments.
Earlier in his career he was Executive Vice President and Region Head of Commercial Banking, ranked first of 140 regional executives nationally, and divisional chief financial officer of a consumer lending group, directing the finance function for a $23B portfolio. He has held personal credit approval authority of up to $30MM.
He is a dual citizen who has purchased, built and financed property in both countries. He has served since 2012 as board chair and treasurer of a children’s services nonprofit in Los Angeles.
